Eddie Houseman is one of the most memorable guest characters in one of the best remembered episodes.. ‘End of the Road’ is rumoured to be Gerry Anderson’s favourite and features this incredible looking ‘explosives tractor’ which is used for demolition of rural areas. In this case, making a cutting through a mountain range. Eddie and his partner Bob Gray have a construction company and this is their biggest project - make or break! The Explosives Tractor is a Mike Trim design and is one of the best looking vehicles to appear in any of the Anderson shows. Fantatsic, futuristic and credible, beautifully realsied as a 2 foot long (approx.) miniature. The visual effects in the series were consistently impressive and imaginative, and this episode is stunning.

 In 1/32nd scale this would be approx. 14” long and should come in glorious bright red plastic! Figures of Eddie and his crew would be included. The mortars palette would be posable up or down. 

The model was revamped as the Transmitter Truck in ‘SunProbe’ and a fire-fighting vehicle in ‘Security Hazard’.
